Summer 1994. These little buds were
born from seed from 1993. They were a few mm in diameter. About 7
years later, some of them where large enough to be able to bloom.

Gentiana lutea bud as it looks as soon
as it emerges form the soil in early spring. It is the 21
st
time that
this plant sees the spring time!!

look partially purple which helps to spot them.

A couple of weeks after emerging from the ground the little plants are
about 10cm tall.
