Petasites
paradoxus
Petasites
paradoxus. This plant is
common across the valley. Flowers are very nice but so small that
nobody notices them. They are just some millimetres across and they
last a few days. Then the are overwhelmed by the big leafs which are
then visible for the rest of the year. My mother used to tell me that
during her childhood it was common to use the leafs as hats to have a
protection from the sun. It was partially a children way to play but
also a need as buying an hat was inconceivable in the 1940s....
